The Farmington Canal Heritage Greenway will eventually run approximately 84 miles from New Haven, Connecticut, to Northampton, Massachusetts, along the route of a historic canal and railway line. About half of it is apparently finished. The longest section (I think) is a paved 21-mile section from Farmington, Connecticut, to Suffield, Connecticut, with a short detour around a missing bridge and a very short unpaved section. Two web sites provide maps and information:

If the map has markers, click them for extra information. You can also double-click anywhere on the map to get driving directions to that point. Note:Trail routes shown are approximate! If you have a GPS trace of this trail, leave a comment below with your email address (which will not be published), and I'll contact you. Thanks!
Elevation profile of route: feet above sea level vs. distance traveled (approximate). Green marker on map above shows which end is designated as start of route.

Note that the trail is not only complete (the bridge was finished couple of years ago), but it also extends north to the Southwick/Westfield town line, and at the south end, continues west and north to Collinsville, then north to Rt 44.
Good to know! I guess I need to update the map and description. :)
