It runs from Riverfront Park in Pottstown to the Berks County Line, about 1-1/2 miles. There, the trail becomes a packed cinder trail and runs through Birdsboro to Reading (via some back roads). Chester County says they're planning to build a paved trail that will connect the two Montco trails. But I've been hearing that since 2004, so I'll believe it when I see it. As this trail slowly becomes completed, I don't have a problem with unpaved sections if they are bicycle-friendly, like packed cinders.
