Routes plugin for WordPress: Version 2.2.11 released

My partner Zach and I have been experiencing some problems with GPX files generated by an Android phone -- the elevations that Android records are suspect, to say the least. So I just added a new feature to the Routes plugin for WordPress: a button that lets you look up and update elevation values in bulk, using Google Maps' lookup service.

Routes plugin for WordPress: Version 2.2.10 released

Yesterday I was trying to import a GPX file into a WordPress post on a site running my Routes plugin for WordPress. The post had several images that had been inserted using the WordPress media library, and the GPX import failed, without telling me what was going on.

So I added some messages to show on the screen when you save your post, and that led me to understand what the problem was, and I fixed it. So I just released version 2.2.10 of the Routes plugin. Upgrading is advisable.

Routes plugin for WordPress: Version 2.2.9 released

On Sunday I was trying to import two GPX files into the same WordPress post on a site running my Routes plugin for WordPress, and instead of adding points from the second GPX file to the end of the points from the first file, the Routes plugin mixed them up together. That wasn't good!

It turned out that there was a PHP programming error in the Routes plugin. So, I fixed the error, and today released version 2.2.9 of the Routes plugin. Upgrading is advisable.

Routes plugin for WordPress: Version 2.2.8 released

Yesterday, I was making a new web site based on my Routes plugin for WordPress, and I noticed that both the new site and my existing bicycle trails site were not displaying maps in Internet Explorer 6. This was due to a JavaScript syntax error (apparently most newer browsers could overlook this minor error, but not Internet Explorer 6).

So, I fixed the error, and today released version 2.2.8 of the Routes plugin. Upgrading is advisable.

Article update: Creating a compound CCK field

I just updated my article on creating a compound CCK field. In this new version, I fixed a couple of problems reported by users of the module, added a fully-working example for text-only compound fields, added some new options at the top for alternatives to building compound CCK field modules, and tested everything with the latest versions of Drupal, CCK and the other dependent modules. So, there are two new downloads... enjoy!

Plugin Update: Routes 2.2.5 for WordPress

The Routes plugin for WordPress (which adds geographical information and Google Maps to WordPress) has just been updated with a bug fix. When you do a generic keyword search in WordPress, Routes is also supposed to make it search in the city and state/country fields of any routes you have defined. This wasn't working for recent versions of WordPress in Routes 2.2.4 and earlier versions; it now should work in all versions of WordPress.
